CNR, the project coordinator, leads the blend of heritage science and technology, focusing on the Hybrid Collaborative Simulation Environment (HCSE). They are the architects building the crucial digital space where experts interact with digital twins of artifacts to make restoration decisions.

FundingBox

FundingBox drives the crucial impact and sustainability work through communication, dissemination, and exploitation. They manage the Open Calls for External Pilots to validate tools externally and develop the strategy for long-term market adoption and reusability of the COLOURS Toolkit.

FhG provides the core technical and AI expertise, notably coordinating the Predictive Restoration Tools development. Their work ensures that complex technologies like AI and AR/VR are transformed into reliable, practical solutions for heritage conservation.

FORTH

FORTH coordinates the critical process of community engagement and ensures our tools are fully interoperable with the ECCCH cloud infrastructure. They also manage and enrich the Colour Knowledge Repository, making sure valuable data is accessible, shareable, and sustainable for the long term.

ECE focuses on maximiaing the project’s long-term viability and adoption by leading the Cost-Benefit Analysis. They are essential in providing strategic foresight and recommendations that guide the business models for sustainable tool exploitation.

Bratislava City Gallery

GMB contributes valuable collection data and expertise in exhibition, public engagement, and education. They lead internal testing to ensure the collaborative environment and tools enhance visitor appreciation and integrate effectively into museum practices.

NTNU leads the vital Colour Management work, establishing protocols for accurate colour appearance across all digital devices and platforms. Their expertise guarantees the perceptual accuracy of restoration simulations, ensuring high fidelity to the cultural heritage object’s original colours.

MINISTRY OF CULTURE

MIC, through its Digital Library, coordinates digitisation efforts and provides the I.PaC data space, supporting analysis and use case development. Their institutional involvement ensures that the COLOURS toolkit aligns with national and European policies for digital heritage transformation.

BCS contributes the essential practitioner’s perspective by helping to define the project’s technical needs and validating the usability of the tools. Their input ensures the digital solutions are practical and effective for real-life conservation and restoration tasks.

Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia

ZVKDS offers invaluable practical expertise in cultural heritage preservation and restoration, especially concerning movable heritage. They provide real-world case studies and ground-level feedback to ensure our tools are thoroughly validated and seamlessly integrate into conservation workflows.
